The historic former post office building in Riverton, New Jersey was constructed with federal Treasury Department funds. The building, which was constructed in 1939, is now privately owned.

The historic post office building in Roxboro, North Carolina was constructed during the Great Depression with Treasury Department funds. The building, which opened in 1937, has since been re-purposed. A New Deal mural still hangs in the lobby of the building, which now houses the Piedmont Community College Educational Opportunity Center.

"This 1935 U.S. Post Office is associated with the Depression era federal programs designed to provide public works employment and stimulate the economy. The Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Louis A. Simon designed the building. Architecturally, the post office is a good example of the “Starved Classical” style characteristic of many Depression-era public buildings. The elegant New Deal post office in Santa Monica, CA, was constructed in 1937-38 with Treasury Department funds. It was sold off by the US Postal Service in 2012 (the fate of many classic post offices in the 21st century). Efforts to stop the privatization of the old post office failed, but the building was landmarked and the facade and lobby were saved. The historic former post office in Seguin, Texas was constructed with federal Treasury Department funds in 1934. The building is now privately owned.

The historic post office building in Siloam Springs, Arkansas was constructed in 1937 with federal funding. The building is now privately owned.

This colorful post office was built in 1934 by the Treasury Department. It is a one-story hollow tile construction with a basement. It has modified Mission-style arches, relief ornamentation and entablature with finials over front entrance, double-leaf front doors, transom covered by row of turned spindles, two gabled skylights. The contractor was Robert E. McKee of El Paso. The building is still standing but was discontinued as post office in mid-1970s. As of Summer 2012, the building is vacant and up for sale.

The historic post office building in Silver Spring MD was constructed in 1936-37 by the Treasury Department. Its construction is sometimes mis-attributed to the WPA (Works Progress Administration).   It is a typical Colonial Revival style building, often used in the eastern states for post offices during the interwar period. The former branch post office at 237 Washington St. in downtown Somerville, Massachusetts was constructed with federal funds. Placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, the building was constructed in 1934 or 1935. It has since been sold. The lobby of the old post office contains a New Deal mural entitled "A Skirmish between Bristish and Colonists," which was painted in 1939 by Ross E. Moffett.

A Classical Modern building, using brick, stone, and aluminum was constructed in 1936 to serve as the post office for Sparta. The building is currently home to the local newspaper, the Sparta Expositor.

In 1940 this post office opened for the use of the citizens of Spearfish. It was built in an architectural style that was used in many small towns. There were also offices in the basement to house federal programs such as the Extension Service. From 1930 to to 1942 the federal government greatly expanded its public building programs. The historic one-story Colonial Revival post office in Starkville, Mississippi was constructed by M. C. Monroe for $14,750 in 1935. It has not been used as a post office since the 1980s; the building is now privately owned.

This former post office building was constructed by the Treasury in 1937. It is now privately owned. The post office originally contained a Section of Fine Arts mural entitled "A Massachusetts Countryside" painted by Jean Watson in 1940. The historic former post office building in Summerville, South Carolina was constructed with federal Treasury Department funds. The building, which was completed in 1938, now houses civic offices.

The building's construction was funded by the Treasury Department, and is sometimes mis-attributed to the Works Progress Administration (WPA). The mural by James Penney that was created for this post office now hangs in the new post office at 1276 Missouri Route 47, Union, MO.

The historic Vacaville Post Office was constructed during the Great Depression but is now privately owned. The New Deal mural still decorates the walls.

The Ville Platte post office was built in 1937, and originally housed a mural by Paul Rohland. The mural now resides in the new post office, while the original building is now a branch of the Evangeline Parish public library. The historic former post office in Westbrook, Maine was built in 1935-6 with Treasury Department funds. The building, which housed an example of New Deal artwork, is now a bank. The artwork has been relocated.

The former Westerville post office was a New Deal project and used to contain a mural by Olive Nuhfer. The mural has been moved to a new post office north of downtown. The former post office in Westport, Connecticut, located at 154 Post Road, was built in 1935 with federal Treasury Department funds.  "It was designed by Lansing Holden, a World War I flying ace, who won the Distinguished Service Cross.  Returning home from the war, he took up his father’s profession as an architect.  Holden continued to fly, and in 1938 he died in a crash trying to land in bad weather." In 2011 the post office was sold to a private real estate company. The building then housed a high-end restaurant, though it has changed hands again.
