Akron New York Post Office

The historic post office in Akron, New York was constructed with federal Treasury Department funds. The building, which houses New Deal artwork inside, was completed in 1941 and is still in use today.

"Horse-Drawn Railroad"

The tempera mural entitled “Horse–Drawn Railroad” was painted in 1941 by Elizabeth Logan. The Section of Fine Arts commissioned the work, which resides in the lobby of the historic Akron, New York post office.
