A mission revival style building. In July 1933, the Illustrated Daily News reported that under various projects that were being initiated under the CWA and CCC in Griffith Park as part of the first large wave of mass employment projects was a club house and a sprinkler system for the golf course at a cost of $128,988. The plaque on the clubhouse though says Built by the United States Works Progress Administration 1937

In 1937, architects McClure and Walker of Kearney were hired to draw plans for a new men’s dormitory on the campus of the Kearney State Teachers College. Planned to house 120 to 140 men, the brick building was planned to be three stories tall, 155 feet long and 77 feet wide. In addition to a large cafeteria and dining hall, which would make up one arm of the first floor of the U-shaped building, the building would include between 60 and 72 sleeping rooms, most of them doubles. The historic former post office in La Follette was constructed ca. 1937 with funds provided by the Treasury Department. It is also the site of Dahlov Ipcar's 1939 mural, "On the Shores of the Lake," painted with funds provided by the Treasury Section of Fine Arts.

The former National Guard Armory in Columbia, Tennessee was designed by Warfield and Keeble. The facility includes a 70x100-foot drill hall. Warfield and Keeble designed a series of Tennessee National Guard Armories for the WPA between 1940-1942 with a "standardized but vaguely Art Deco-style architectural plan" (Fieser & Moore, 2011). Other armories were in Cleveland, Shelbyville, Centerville, and Murfreesboro. The Tenth Machine Gun and Chemical Company was headquartered in the Columbia armory during World War II. The building is currently used by the local Parks and Recreation department.

"The Lenoir City Post Office is one of the state's most unadorned New Deal buildings as fa as its exterior style...the building's hipped roof, symmetrical five-bay facade, and understated classical entrance merely hint at Colonial Revival style" (Van West, 2001, p. 65). The post office contains the New Deal mural "Electrification" by David Stone Martin. Completed in 1940, this was "an appropriate location since TVA was then constructing the mammoth Fort Loudon Dam a mere couple of miles away" (Van West, 2001, p. 66).

Nashville's former main post office was built in 1933-34 by the Treasury Department's Office of Construction (later the Office of Procurement).  The enormous structure, filling a city block, was constructed in a record 18 months. The design by architects Marr and Holman is a distinctive "stripped" classicism exterior design (often simply called Classical Moderne). The exterior is white Georgia marble with gray-pink Minnesota granite. The interior is done in the Art Deco Style with cast aluminum doors and grillwork, colored marble and stone on floors and walls. The old Nashville City Market was constructed in 1936-1937 with funding from the Public Works Administration (PWA).  The chief contractor for the project was Foster & Creighton Construction Company. Project cost was "almost a half a million dollars" (Van West, 2000, p. 81). The building's design by Henry Hibbs is "Adamesque Revival Style" with a classical temple entrance and a dome just behind.  The walls are brick over reinforced concrete. The window frames and sashes are steel and the roof is copper.  The original interior had five-foot wainscoting of glazed tile and terrazzo flooring.  It included stalls, restaurants, and rest rooms.  The market's construction...

"The gymnasium addition on the north end is a tall one-story addition faced with light cream colored brick. This is a windowless building, with some high windows on the north having been bricked in. The roof is basically flat, with a very slightly pitched center for drainage. "The entrance facing east has two sets of double wood doors, flanked by a dark stacked-brick surround. The entrance is covered with a flat metal canopy roof. Concrete stairs lead from the sidewalk level to the street. "This addition was constructed in 1940 by the Works Progress Administration (WPA) with an appropriation of $43,250."

"These two game pens and one barn are located at the historic site of the Darlington Agency, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Agency was established in 1870, later owned by the Masons and operated as a children's home, and then in 1932, operated by the Oklahoma Game and Fish Commission (now known as the Department of Wildlife Conservation). It was operated as a bird hatchery and research station. "The pens consist of two very long buildings constructed of tan concrete block. They were built by the WPA with an appropriation of $79,855 from 1937 to 1939....

The original school was built in 1912, and then in 1937, the WPA built an auditorium and gym. According to a 1987 survey, "Gym was added to original school, which no longer exists.
