The Public Works Administration contributed $1,329,508 toward the construction of the Sam Houston Coliseum and Music Hall. The architect of record was Alfred C. Finn. Groundbreaking ceremonies were held on November 4, 1936 and dedication was held on November 26, 1937. The buildings housed circuses, concerts, athletic events, stock shows and conventions. The coliseum and music hall were demolished in 1998. The former site of the coliseum was redeveloped into the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, which opened in 2003.

The National Youth Administration built park facilities in Ballinger City Park. The marker is installed in a rock wall lining the park road. Park amenities include an old bridge, picnic tables, a low bench, a couple of buildings, and retaining walls.

The Works Progress Administration built an arched stone bridge over a small creek near the intersection of Pou Avenue and N. 13th Street. The bridge consists of two arches. Located along the side of the bridge is a rock wall that appears in need of repair. The marker is on the end of the wall nearest N. 13th Street, and it bears the dates 1935-1937.

Between 1939 and 1940, the Works Progress Administration (WPA) worked at the state fish hatchery northeast of Huntsville, Texas as part of project 65-1-66-175. The WPA reworked the ponds to remove sediment, added an 8-inch water supply line and concrete drainage boxes. They improved the drainage ditches by digging them out, rebuilding some with rock masonry walls and adding culverts where necessary. They also widened some of the levees around the ponds to allow trucks to drive on them. The Avenue E School was built in the 1900s and the Works Progress Administration remodeled/built additions to it. There is a place on the building where a marker has been removed. A marker on the next door Gymnasium rock building reads: Copperas Cover Independent School District J.C. Culwell, Supt Trustees Louis Behrens, Pres. M.I. Walker, Sec'y R.C. Adams Leo M. Frase H.J. Leonhard M.Y. Stacy O.E. Urbantke W.P.A. Project No. 15511 1940

The Works Progress Administration built the Libby City Hall in the mid-1930s. Today the two-story brick building serves as the Police Department. The following excerpt is from "ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT PROPOSED PLAN OF MINING AND RECLAMATION TROY PROJECT - ASARCO INC." at Archive.org, page 285. It was written in 1978: "Libby City Police Department - The Libby City Police Department and jail are located in the Libby City Hall on Mineral Avenue. The Libby City Hall was built around 1930 as a WPA project and is of brick construction. The facility contains two cell areas. "  

The Works Progress Administration built restroom facilities in Central Park in Davis, in 1937. Davis Wiki: "The WPA Building houses the public restrooms on the northeast corner of Central Park. It was built in 1937 as a WPA project and was the first public restroom in Davis. It is also the only WPA building in the City of Davis, lending it additional historical significance." The Public Works Administration (PWA) funded the construction of additions and alterations to the Bonner County Courthouse in Sandpoint in 1938-39. One source suggests that the Works Progress Administration (WPA) was involved with other related work at the building or grounds. The PWA provided a $37,650 grant for the project. The total construction cost was $83,521. PWA Docket No. ID 1178. The Works Progress Administration (WPA) built the Vine Hill School and Community Building (also known as Horney Buck School) in 1939 in Cape Fair. The building served as a school during the week, as a community center on Saturdays, and as an interdenominational church on Sunday. The structure bears a painted sign above the door that reads "Vine Hill Community Building, 1939 WPA." Above the stone header, a stone plaque reads, "School District No. 30." Behind the main structure there are two outhouses. The stone construction resembles the school building, which suggests that it was also built by the WPA.  

The brochure A Guide to Depression Era Roadside Parks in Texas lists at #9 the Highway 16 Roadside Park as an existing Works Progress Administration-era roadside park. The park is located South of Fredericksburg in Medina County. A site visit in March 2018 revealed that the site is unmarked, but the construction materials are typical for WPA work of that era.
