    MP4 Camp Wilderness was one of 4 CCC camps in the Fredericksburg area set up to develop locations of major Civil War battles, Camp Bloody Angle (MP-1) was at the battle of Spotsylvania Court House, Camp Wilderness (MP-4) was at the Battle of the Wilderness, and Camp Chancellorsville (MP-3) was at the Battle of Chancellorsville.     The Works Progress Administration built the Clinton Armory in Clinton OK. Contributor Note: "The Clinton Armory was built by the WPA between 1935-1937. It was designed by Bryan W. Nolan. The main entrance faces south onto Opal Avenue, across from the large McLain Rogers Park. It is addressed as 723 S. 13th. The armory was placed on the National Register in 1994. The south portion of the armory is one-story red brick with a flat roof and was used for offices and storage.   • Spartanburg Municipal Airport - Spartanburg SC
    The Spartanburg Municipal Airport opened in 1927. The Civil Works Administration graded the field, erected two runways and completed a new lighting system in 1933-1934. Work was noted to be started by 22 December 1933 and was to be completed by 15 February 1934. A Spartanburg Herald 1933 article noted that the city sought out an appropriation of $200,000 for the improvement program.

    The Works Progress Administration built the Exhibit & Auction Building at the Clinton Fairgrounds in Clinton OK. Contributor note: "This is a two-story building, with randomly laid native sandstone walls. The roof is flat and the windows are casement units with stone sills and lintels. At the south end, the main entrance is a one-story projected entry foyer, with three single doors and sidelights. Above this entrance is a frieze which reads: "19 EXHIBIT & AUCTION BUILDING 41".   • Franklin Park Zoo Improvements - Boston MA
    The Works Progress Administration made improvements to the Franklin Park Zoo. This project sought to improve the lion house, monkey house, and build machine and carpenter shop and garage extensions and a storage building. The total cost of the proposed project was $137,050.14 of which $94,349.50 would be provided by federal funding. This would account for the cost of materials and labor. This federal project was controversial and ended in litigation. The federal government sued the city of Boston for $4787.65 due to diversion of WPA of wages, although there were claims totaling nearly $11,000.

    The Stuart Nursery was established in 1934 by the Kisatchie National Forest (KNF) in conjunction with the creation of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). Although KNF employees managed the nursery, nearby CCC camps with 200 young men each provided manpower for its operation and field planting (Barnett and Burns 2012).     This camp was constructed by the Army Corps of Engineers for training and occupied by the 450th Company, P-234 October 15, 1937 near the old quicksilver mines of Almaden at the site of the ghost town of English Camp. Work projects accomplished by the 450th included construction of truck trails, telephone lines, bridges, lookout towers, fire prevention landscaping, spring development and rock walls.   • Oshkosh Fire Station #6 - Oshkosh WI
    Fire Station #6 built was built with Works Progress Administration (WPA) funds by the City of Oshkosh. A WPA funded project to dismantle the old Winnebago County Courthouse and old Oshkosh Post Office buildings were done in 1939. Materials from those buildings were recycled and used in other building projects, including this fire station.

The lower 30 inches of the walls are native sandstone, and large sandstone rocks are set into the corners of the building.
