Join community groups and the City Department of Parks on September 9 from 12:30 to 2:30 in celebrating the 80th anniversary of Williamsbridge Oval Park. The New York City Department of Parks will oversee a sign dedication ceremony at the Park. The sign will detail the Park’s history including its legacy as a WPA project that employed laborers during the severe job shortage of the Great Depression, as well as its key place as a recreation and community resource.
