The Sargent Johnson exhibit has migrated to the East Coast. Check it out if you pass through Virginia…  Duane Conliffe’s gorgeous large-scale photographs depict Sargent Johnson’s New Deal work. Conliffe’s photos were originally commissioned by the Richmond Art Center in California.  The exhibit will show in the Africa House Gallery on the Campus of the University of Virginia through Dec 15, 2012. (www.DuaneConliffe.com).

  1. Maratime museum sf has Sargent Johnson’s he did extensive work respective to the African American.,and at the least, he-would wish in my opinion ,to be known for heritage as African American. By not noting such, the museum is doing an injustice Mr. Johnson and the African American community at large.
