On April 25th, Living New Deal research associate Charles Epting will be giving a talk at the WESTPEX Stamp Show in the Bay Area on “New Deal philately–stamps, covers, and other ephemera that tell the story of FDR’s relief programs during the Great Depression.”  This is a public lecture with a nominal $5 fee for the WESTPEX event.  It should be a fascinating angle on how the New Deal was presented to and perceived by the American public during the 1930s.  The talk is at 3 pm at the SFO Airport Marriott Hotel.
