On Saturday, July 8, Toby McIntosh will visit the Georgetown Library to discuss his recent book about muralist Auriel Bessemer. Apple Picking, Tobacco Harvesting and General Lee: Arlington’s New Deal Murals and Muralist examines Bessemer’s singular life, and the murals he created through the Treasury Section of Fine Arts for Arlington, Virginia’s Clarendon Post Office. McIntosh’s talk begins at 1 pm.
