An all-day celebration and discussion at the US Department of Labor in Washington, D.C. recognizing this key piece of New Deal legislation – one of many that helped create the American Middle Class of the postwar years, now greatly diminished by the loss of union protections. The event is co-sponsored by the Institute for Research on Labor and Employment at University of California, Berkeley, which has often provided support for the Living New Deal.
