- Post Office - Helper UTThis New Deal post office was built in 1937. It remains in 'mint condition' to this day, with the interior looking exactly as it did in the 1930s (2017). The building on is on the National Register of Historic Places (as part of the Helper Historic District) and marked with a cornerstone and a plaque. The plaque mistakenly attributes the building to the WPA, but all post offices were built by the Treasury Department at the time (as the cornerstone clearly states). It contains Jenn Magafan's 1941 mural, "Western Town," painted for the Treasury Section of Fine Arts.
