"The Ecru High School FFA/FHA Building was built in 1938 by the National Youth Administration (NYA), a New Deal agency. The NYA was created by executive order in 1935 to provide vocational training to young people while also furnishing a stipend allowing participants to remain in school. One NYA project involved building and renovating school buildings. There were a number of NYA built school buildings in Mississippi, primarily used for vocational education. However, that number is declining. The Ecru building, clad in 'native stone,' retains its exterior features, including pent awnings over the doors and 9/9 double hung sash windows....

Granite steps and a platform with railings and lamp standards mark the front of the entrance. At the rear of the structure are the usual vestibule and a platform for the reception of mail and a mailing drive with space for parking postal automobiles. This sandstone wall was built by the WPA between 1937-38 in Valley View, Texas, about 60 miles north of Dallas/Fort Worth. Senatobia High School was FEAPWA Project #Miss. 1260, constructed in 1938 in an Art Moderne style. Additions were completed in 1959 and 1965. The auditorium is 1.5-story, and constructed of reinforced concrete and with brick and stone veneer. The entry to the auditorium is separated by pilasters featuring bas-relief sculptures and a sun dial above glass block lights.

The stone veneer facade, one-story stone and brick Community House was constructed with Work Progress Administration funding in 1938. One room of the Community House was designated for a library in 1966. The first known library in the county was established in the courthouse through the federal Works Progress Administration (WPA) during the Great Depression but was in existence only eight months.

The Steuben House is a longstanding historical and architectural landmark in Bergen County NJ. Its style recalls the Bergen Dutch community. The house was occupied for military purposes during much of the American Revolutionary War, including by General Washington.
