    The Works Progress Administration (WPA) built a 1,500,000-gallon reservoir north of Laurel, Montana. The project was completed in 1936. "Heading the list of completed WPA projects in Laurel Is the $14,000 municipal water reservoir which will go Into use at the termination of the curing period for the cement this week. The reservoir Is located a mile and a half north of Laurel and combines both scenic and practical value. It is situated on a low hill overlooking the entire Yellowstone valley.     The Work Progress Administration (WPA) constructed a bandshell at Central Park—also known as Centennial Park—in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. It was dedicated in June 1936. There is no bandshell in the park today.
  • Fairground Improvements and Bandshell - Stanton NE
    The Work Progress Administration (WPA) constructed a bandshell at the then-Stanton County fairgrounds at Stanton, Nebraska, and conducted other improvement work at the grounds. The bandshell was dedicated by the governor of Nebraska on July 26, 1936. The location and status of the work is unknown to Living New Deal; however, Living New Deal believes it to be located on county property southeast of Stanton by the Elkhorn River.
  • West Nebraska Arts Center (former Library) Addition - Scottsbluff NE
    Scottsbluff's historic former Carnegie Library—now the West Nebraska Arts Center—received an addition constructed by the Works Progress Administration (WPA) in 1936. "The 62-foot addition, built in 1936 by the W.P.A., was designed by architect O. J. Hehnke of Scottsbluff. The addition maintains the original material, parapet, cornice, basement, and window lines."   • School (former) - Talmage NE
    Talmage's historic former school building, later city hall and now privately owned, was constructed as a federal Public Works Administration (PWA) project.     Johnson, Nebraska's Johnson School, originally constructed as a high school, was constructed as a federal Public Works Administration (PWA) project. The PWA provided a grant of $16,506 for the project, whose total cost was $38,391. Construction occurred between Feb. and Oct. 1936. The facility has been expanded into a larger educational campus.   • Post Office - Auburn NE
    The post office in Auburn was constructed with funds provided by the Treasury Department in 1936. The building, which houses an example of New Deal artwork, is still in service.
  • Fire Station (former Armory) - Falls City NE
    The Works Progress Administration (WPA) completed construction of the former National Guard Armory in Falls City, Nebraska. "edicated on December 11, 1936. It was converted in 1972 to a City Hall and is currently the Falls City fire station."
  • Storm Sewers - Atchison KS
    A storm sewer development project in Atchison, Kansas was undertaken during the Great Depression with the aid of federal Public Works Administration (PWA) funds.   • High School Gymnasium/Auditorium - Fulton KS
    In 1936, Works Progress Administration workers tore down Fulton's 1885 school building and erected a gymnasium/auditorium with reclaimed rocks.
