    The Rutland Public Library was renovated with the help of Public Works Administration funds. (Docket No. Vt. 1059-DS) The work consisted of installing interior partitions and painting and restoring the architectural details of the façade. The Civil Works Administration (CWA) conducted restoration work on the facility as well. "The Rutland Free Library was started in 1886.   • Public Library - Allenstown NH
    The Allenstown Public Library was erected in 1934 by Public Works Administration (PWA) workers at a cost of $13,138.00. This Colonial Revival structure was designed by Harold, Homes, Owen, Inc. The original contract stipulated that the majority of the construction work was to be by hand in order to employ more local workers longer.
  • Jamestown Hospital - Jamestown ND
    "The Lutheran church sponsored Jamestown Hospital (not surveyed). Ground breaking for the facility took place in 1928 and cornerstone ceremonies on October 28, 1929, one day before the Stock Market Crash. Consequently, donations and bond financing for the project were stalled for several years. The brick structure was completed in 1935, late enough that it may have been assisted by PWA financing. Stylistically, it is very unusual in its simplified Art Deco detailing, particularly in the striated spandrels and stylized arches. Discussion of the style and associated historic theme is found under the Great Depression heading, above."
  • University of Jamestown: Taylor Stadium - Jamestown ND
    Taylor Stadium, also known as Rollie Greeno Track and Al Cassel Field, was built in 1934-35 by the CWA: "The stadium was originally named Roosevelt Stadium, but later re-named for Frank B. Taylor, long time Dean of the College and a sports enthusiast. It was a Civilian Works Administration project of the depression years." The stadium was renovated in 1985 and again in 1999.
  • Berlin Regional Airport - Milan NH
    A one-runway private airport north of downtown Berlin, New Hampshire. The airport was started as a CWA project. There was a slight delay during the shutdown of the program.   • Brunswick High School (demolished) - Brunswick ME
    Constructed in 1935. A new High School was built in 1995 due to overcrowding. Demolished in 2009. The Harriet Beecher Stowe elementary school was built on the same location in 2011 and incorporates an art deco bas relief and a light from the front entrance of the old high school.

"Greenwood Playground first opened to the public on December 19, 1935, as one of hundreds of Works Progress Administration-era playgrounds commissioned throughout the city, and built under the direction of Parks Commissioner Robert Moses (1888-1981). It contained a recreational building, a large wading pool, and standard playground features such as seesaws, monkey bars, slides, handball courts, and an open play area.     The post office in Plymouth, Pennsylvania was constructed with federal Treasury Department funds in 1935. The building is still in use today. A 1938 Section of Fine Arts-funded mural titled "Meal Time with the Early Coal Miners" was painted by Jared French and hangs in the lobby.

    The 1934-35 town report mentioned: "Toilets were built at Wiswell Hill and Clewleyville as E. R. A. projects. The town paid for the material, the Federal Government for the labor. Cost at Wiswell Hill for material $127.26 Cost at Clewleyville for material 118.30" The town of Holden had 8 one room school houses. Earlier reports complained about the deplorable condition that the toilet facilities at the schools were in.
